Facilities and Equipment

Ultrasound Equipment
For some cases, we use high-resolution ultrasound exams. Ultrasound uses sound waves to better visualize soft tissue, allowing more accurate diagnosis and treatment. The exam reveals soft tissue and bone without radiation exposure such as with x-rays.

Ultrasound is often used for the following conditions:

  • Soft tissue masses
  • Foreign bodies
  • Fractures
  • Planter fasciitis
  • Tendonitis
  • Tendon tears
  • Ligament tears
  • Neuromas

Digital X-Ray Equipment
In order to offer you the best possible diagnosis and continued care, we utilize digital x-ray equipment. Digital x-ray allows for magnification and adjustment of the contrast and brightness of your x-rays. This allows the physician to better diagnose soft tissue, bone, and joint abnormalities.  Digital x-rays are also easily copied for transfer to other physicians or medical facilities when desired by the patient.

Arterial Doppler Equipment
Diseases of the circulation to the lower extremity are becoming common. We have a new Arterial Doppler Device that allows us to monitor the circulation to the feet and legs.  The test is non-painful and non-invasive.  Blood pressure cuffs are placed on the arms and legs, and during the test, the cuffs are inflated and deflated.  A quantitative number corresponding to the amount of flow is determined. Waveforms are also noted that demonstrate the quality of your circulation to your feet and legs.  This helps determine circulation problems that are present now. Later testing also allows monitoring of the circulation over time.  The patient can be referred for treatment when circulation worsens rather than waiting for complications that can occur such as loss of limb.

Appointments

We will maintain our time schedule as closely as possible. Occasionally, emergencies arise which interrupt our schedule.  However, it is our desire to be prompt and considerate of your time.  Your promptness for your appointment will be appreciated.

If you must cancel an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible so that the time reserved for you may be given to another patient desiring treatment.

Insurance and Payment

You might appreciate knowing in advance how our accounts are handled.  Payment is expected the day services are rendered.

We will always attempt to determine how much your insurance will pay.  If a predetermination of benefits can be made, you will be asked to pay the non-covered portion only.  In absence of a predetermination of benefits, it is your responsibility to pay the fee personally as treatment is rendered and then make arrangements with the insurance company for reimbursement.

You may pay by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, personal check, debit card, or cash. We do not accept American Express or postdated checks.
